Slant Step Inspired

a multiples portfolio exchange between CSUS & VCU students

In anticipation of the Verge Center for the Arts in Sacramento, CA exhibition, Slant Step Forward, students in the classes of professors Summer Ventis at California State University, Sacramento and Brooke Inman at Virginia Commonwealth University in Richmond, VA participated in a cross-country multiples exchange inspired by the Slant Step in Spring 2019. Verge highlighted their collaborative works during an exhibition-related program on Thursday, October 17, while the project was also on view at the VCUarts Anderson Gallery in Richmond, VA. The project is currently on view as a part of the exhibition, “Exchange” in the Robert Else Gallery at CSUS, February 4-March 6, 2020.

The work for this exhibition was made in an edition of four:

1/4 - artist copy, 2/4 - given to the corresponding collaborative student at the other university, 3/4 - on view at California State University, Sacramento, 4/4 - on view at Virginia Commonwealth University
